J'ai mis un peu de temps à comprendre mais ces trois gars ont juste une alchimie, une synergie parfaite. Sur des prods de Kanye ou Justin, c'est juste parfait, la street pour de vrai. Scarface et Beanie Sigel ont aussi fait plusieurs tracks ensemble, toujours une réussite. On entend parler ici et là d'un hypothétique album en collab, ça serait juste mortel. Et Jay-Z & Beans, c'est un peu le supergroupe de la mort quoi, le Nas & AZ version 2000 sauf que ça continue encore et toujours pour de nombreux tracks de qualité. Checker aussi le couplet à rallonge de Beanie sur le track de Ghostface en pleine forme avec Styles P on the hook, 'Barrell Brothers'. Juste au top. Vivement l'album. The Solution sort le 11 décembre 2007.

On n'y croyait plus trop. On pensait que c'était terminé, plus jamais on aurait un nouvel album plein de funk poisseuse, de blagues salaces et de flow jubilatoire. On pensait que Redman était rangé, dans la vie par lui même et au placard par Def Jam. Mais non. Finalement Red Gone Wild est là. Une pochette épileptique et 23 tracks avec les grands copains Timbo et Scott mais aussi Pete Rock, les Dogg Snoop et Nate et ses funky potes Method Man, le Def Squad, Saukrates, Gov Matic, Ready Roc, Hurricane G... Bref un VRAI album de Redman. Et il se fait plaisir. Ca rappe méchamment, c'est complètement actuel, il y a du soopaman lova, de la funk qui colle aux dents, Erick Sermon, Brick City, des blagues potaches et de la weed (pas beaucoup d'interludes débiles par contre...bizarre!). Bref on ne l'attendait plus et on est super agréablement surpris. On en redemande!
